Friday Newsletter 20-10-2023

Updated: Oct 27

Dear Keystone and Kilittaşı Community,

We've left behind a quite intense and exhausting week. It may have been one of the most challenging weeks for us as administrators. However, we'll start a calmer and more enjoyable week with your understanding and support.

LAST WEEK

On October 16th, we completed our school parent association elections. Congratulations to the School Parent Association elected for the 2023-2024 school year. This year, we hope the School Parent Association engages in organization and charitable work and collaborates with us on significant decisions representing you. For any questions, you can email pto@keystoneschools.com.tr.

FIELD TRIPS

Keystone and Kilittaşı Schools enrich their program with extracurricular activities, and field trips are essential. Keystone and Kilittaşı 4th-grade students had the opportunity to reinforce and experience many achievements they learned in their Science class by visiting the Sancaktepe Science Museum on Thursday.

NEXT WEEK

Our trips will continue next week. Preschool students will visit the MINISCOPE science workshop to make their first foray into science, while the 12th-grade Science department students will visit Sabancı University's Nanotechnology Research and Application Center. We thank our Physics teacher, Serhat Yanık, and our Science department head, Yolguk Kim, for organizing this prestigious trip. Social department students will participate in the Istanbul Modern trip organized by the Art department.

HALLOWEEN

One of the most exciting school spirit activities we celebrate with great pleasure every month, which strengthens students' connection to school, is approaching. We'd like to remind you to prepare for Halloween, which we will celebrate on Tuesday, October 31st

CELEBRATION OF REPUBLIC DAY

Dear Kilittaşı parents, we invite you all to the Republic Day celebration, which we will hold in our schoolyard on Sunday, October 29th at 11:00 AM. Students from Preschool to 8th grade will have roles in this ceremony. If students cannot attend the ceremony on Sunday, we kindly ask you to inform their class teachers. Due to limited space at our ceremony, only parents are invited.

Also, a reminder that term one exam week will commence on Monday, October 30th. You can check your child's K12Net account for the units and objectives these exams cover.

Have a great weekend
