Western Association of Schools and Colleges

In 2019, Keystone Schools achieved two great events: our WASC accreditation and our acceptance as a nominee member of Round Square. The common thread between these events is Keystone Schools being recognized by international organizations for our academic and social accomplishments. As we continue to progress academically and grow, WASC (Western Association of Schools and Colleges) gives us the structure to do so according to internationally recognized guidelines.

This is done through continual assessment and onsite audits by the team at WASC in California, USA. ACS WASC accreditation is an ongoing six-year cycle of quality, whereby schools demonstrate the capacity, commitment, and competence to support high-quality student learning and ongoing school improvement. The ACS WASC Focus on learning protocol guides schools into an ongoing improvement process that includes implementation, assessment, and refinement of the school-wide action plan on an annual basis. Appropriate reports and reviews throughout the six-year cycle of accreditation support this process.

After a three-year process of self-assessment, Keystone International Schools completed an educational accreditation visit by WASC in November 2018. Educational accreditation systems audit the schools’ systems’ sustainability and externally control the academic and administrative planning, practices, and evaluation on a regular basis. Candidate schools are responsible not only for one-time improvement, but also for continuous progress in systems and education.

We have the great honor to share that our school has been officially accredited by WASC and has thus been acknowledged to be a school with international educational standards.
