Primary School Online Education

As soon as the school break was announced due to the Covid-19 outbreak, we planned our online education schedule by meeting and working with our teaching coordinators and department heads. We have created a gradually increasing curriculum for our primary school students. The first three days of our classes started with 20 minute lessons and were conducted 2 times a day so that our students could adapt to our online lessons. In the following days we increased the lesson times to 40 minutes; the same as during normal school conditions. We continued our classes with ELA, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. Meanwhile, videos of our music, visual arts and physical education lessons were delivered to our parents. We started our guidance lessons in order to support our students’ emotional situation from the second week onwards and we continued our journey by adding French and IT lessons to the curriculum. In the third week, Bridge Lessons with Keystone and Kilittasa students were included in order to increase social contact for our students. With the addition of online music and physical education classes, our students attend online classes 24 hours a week.
