Field Trips

At Keystone, field trips are linked to the curriculum of various subjects and students are given tasks to perform before, during and after the trip to encourage deeper reflection and a more intense experience.

School field trips are hands-on learning experiences and an effective method of teaching. They offer students the opportunity to learn in a different environment and stimulate the desire to learn more about a place, a historical event, technology, nature or art. They create connections between school learning and daily life and thus ensure that learning is relevant and internalised.

During field trips, students have the opportunity to develop different skills, such as organisation, communication and collaboration, and they can transfer these skills to their everyday and school life.
